Nestled in a breath-taking coastal setting with sweeping views of Plymouth Sound, Edgcumbe Court offers over four acres of meticulously landscaped grounds on the edge of the Stonehouse Peninsula. Our beautiful retirement village is the second development of its kind within our portfolio and aims to blend the comfort of support services with independence and choice.
The property features 45 one- and two-bedroom apartments, complete with fully-fitted kitchens, spacious wet rooms and energy-efficient underfloor heating for truly modern comfort. Many apartments also boast private balconies, sun terraces, or large bay windows, inviting the natural beauty of the outdoors in.
Our central location means residents can easily make the most of all that the historic city of Plymouth has to offer or explore the many beautiful nearby beaches. There is also plenty to enjoy closer home, including an on-site bar, coffee shop, and cosy lounge areas, along with a charming summer house, sun terraces, and a library that make it easy to connect with neighbours.
If you are seeking a more specialist level of assistance that can accommodate for you or your loved one’s specific care requirements, we would encourage you to consider the gorgeous modern facility that is located within the village.

We hold regular events here at Edgcumbe Court. From themed lunches, capturing National celebrations, to Nibble nights where residents and family can join in a selection of buffet nibbles and drinks. The residents organise events based on their own interests and share them within the Village such as a local history group, games evenings and a resident art group. The Village offers private functions, catering for all group sizes. This summer we will be hosting a garden party so everyone can enjoy the beautiful gardens with its accessible pathway. Every week we organise shared/subsidised Taxis to the city centre and a local supermarket – a great way to get out and about with fellow residents.
