The House also has plenty to offer on a cooler day, including a small shop and lounges on each floor where residents can converse, watch television or spend quiet time in a peaceful, homely environment.

Food and Nutrition
All our menus are seasonal and we like to use local, nutritious, well balanced and home cooked foods. The dining rooms are large and spacious and look out over the Plymouth Sound. All meals are prepared and cooked by our experienced catering team.

Activities and Events
We have activities every day ranging from Movement to Music, poetry, crafts, BINGO to name a few. Activities run 10am-4 pm with an activity in the morning and a different activity in the afternoon. Our Activity Coordinators are there to support residents in a person-centred way to ensure that the activities are enjoyed by all that attend, believing that individuals should feel emotionally satisfied and as independent as possible.

Clare PonsfordGeneral Manager
Clare joined Nazareth Care in Nov 2011 as a Registered Nurse for Nazareth House, Plymouth.
She became Deputy Manager February 2018 and then Manager in Feb 21.
Clare qualified as a Registered Nurse in Feb 2002 and spent the first 10 years working for the NHS in Neuro-rehab and then came to Nazareth House, Plymouth to work. She has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Health Studies (Second Class Honours).
